17MCC Group commences steel structure works for Krakatau in Indonesia

The Metallurgical Engineering Technology Company of the 17th Metallurgical Construction Group (17MCC Group) announced that, the steel structure supply works for the iron making project in the blast furnace area of PT Krakatau Steel in Indonesia was smoothly started on September 8, 2013.

The contracted blast furnace is designed with a capacity of 1,832 cubic meters. The main construction tasks include: (i) the blast furnace; (ii) the hot blast stove system; (iii) the casting house system; (iv) the raw gas system; (v) the continuous casting system; (vi) the corridor system; (vii) the dust collection system; (viii) the slag treatment system; (ix) the integrated pipeline; and (x) the other manufacturing works for the steel structure and pipelines.
