Our experience in working with difficult metals such as carbon stee, alloy, including precipitation/age hardening steel and nickel alloys and other specialty metals can help you realize substantial cost savings in the processing of your tubular product.

Seamless tube process

First, a red-hot stainless steel forged hollow rod is formed with a pilger. After the bar has cooled, the tube is cold drawn through a die, and if needed over a plug or mandrel for further sizing.

Sunny Steel can develop special processes to meet your OD and/or ID surface requirements, critical dimensional tolerances, specific mechanical properties and even produce a custom shape design rather than the typical round form.

This cold drawing process continues until the tube is at its specified final dimensions.
