SPV235 is one of the JIS standard material symbols specified for steel plates for pressure vessels, and the number 235 indicates the lowest yield point at room temperature.
Under JIS G3115 steel standard,boiler steel plate SPV235 is mainly used for welded boilers and other pressure vessels&tanks.For thickness equal and below 50 millimeters,the yield point of boiler steel plate SPV235 shall be above 235Mpa,and for thickness above 50 millimeters,the minimum yield strength for pressure vessel steel plates shall be 215Mpa.The tensile strength of steel plate spv235 shall be within 400-510Mpa.Alloy elements may be added if necessary when rolling boiler steel plate SPV235.

Of the six types of SPV materials, only this SPV235 has a thickness of 100 mm as a boundary, and the carbon content standard is divided into 0.18 or less and 0.20 or less. In addition, among 6 types, it is the grade with the least amount of manganese. The thickness range is 6mm to 200mm.
