Tubing coupling

Tubing coupling is an oilfield drilling tools, mainly for tubing connections.

Tubing coupling mainly aims to solve the existing couplings easily generated due to fatigue fracture stress concentration problems.

Tubing is important to oil drilling equipment, and its main equipment includes drill, core pipe and casing, drill collars and drilling small diameter steel pipe and so on. Mainly used for oil well drilling and completion during drilling after wall support, in order to ensure the conduct and completion of the drilling process of the wells after the regular oil casing normal operation.

Tubing coupling structure is: tubing ends with the inner wall of the coupling connected to tapered threads, couplings and tubing ends of the body with the same thread pitch flat with threaded connect. A single taper threaded connection with relief tubing outer thread root stress concentration characteristics, not easy to produce fatigue fracture, connecting effect. Effectively prevent oil well tubing string broken off accidents.

Tubing coupling

API Coupling refers to the steel couplings that used in connecting casing pipe and tubing. Also known by OCTG coupling, it is usually manufactured in seamless type, material grade same with the pipe body (API 5CT K55/J55, N80, L80, P110 etc), same PSL or providing higher grades than requested. Same heat treatment also applicable, except there is an special requirements.
