2. Universal Expansion Joint

3. Single Tied Expansion Joint
Based on a single unrestrained design with added tie rods. Prevents over-extension and limits axial movement. Tie rods act as limit stops rather than pressure restraints.
4. Tied Universal Expansion Joint
Universal joint with integral tie rods to restrain pressure thrust. Allows lateral, angular and limited axial movement. Commonly used where main anchors are impractical.
5. Pressure Balanced Elbow
Designed to neutralize pressure thrust at directional changes. Eliminates the need for heavy anchors near elbows. Available as single or universal configurations.
6. Gimbal Expansion Joint
Single bellows with dual hinge pairs on a floating ring. Permits angular rotation in any plane while resisting pressure thrust. Often installed in sets of three or with hinged joints.
7. Hinged Expansion Joint
Designed for angular movement in one plane only. Hinge hardware prevents axial displacement under pressure. Typically used in trios or combined with gimbal joints.
8. In-Line Pressure Balanced
Absorbs axial, lateral and angular movement in a straight run. Balances pressure thrust to protect sensitive equipment. Ideal for pump and turbine connections.
