ASTM B338 Grade 7 Titanium Tube

UNS R52400 Ti-Pd Corrosion Resistant Tubing

Grade7 Ti-Pd alloy seamless & welded tubing with enhanced reducing acid & seawater corrosion resistance, full ASTM B338 compliance for industrial heat exchangers.

Palladium Doped Titanium Tubing With Superior Crevice & Pitting Corrosion Resistance For Heat Exchangers

Grade 7 titanium tube is a palladium-bearing alpha titanium alloy with UNS designation R52400, specified under ASTM B338 standard for condensers and heat exchanger tubing. It adds 0.12%~0.25% palladium to standard Grade2 pure titanium matrix, certified ISO 9000 manufacturing system. The trace palladium element optimizes electrochemical performance, greatly improving resistance to localized crevice and pitting corrosion which easily damages regular CP titanium in stagnant chloride & reducing acid environments.

Both seamless cold-drawn and continuous TIG welded Grade7 tubing are available, finished with standard pickled matte surface, fully pass PMI alloy composition inspection via portable spectral analyzer before delivery.

Titanium Unique Properties

The Unique Properties of Titanium

Titanium is a transition metal valued for its high strength-to-weight ratio, excellent corrosion resistance and biocompatibility. It is widely used in aerospace, chemical processing, marine and medical applications.

Titanium uses chemical symbol Ti, atomic number 22 and atomic weight 47.90. It ranks as the 9th most abundant element and 4th most abundant metallic element within the Earth’s crust. The main natural mineral deposits containing titanium are rutile and ilmenite, which are mostly mined in Australia and South Africa.
