Casted Basalt Tiles

High Wear Resistant Lining Tiles

Casted basalt tiles are high-performance wear-resistant lining materials designed to protect industrial equipment from severe abrasion, erosion and impact damage.

What Are Casted Basalt Tiles?

Casted basalt tiles are premium wear-resistant lining materials manufactured from carefully selected natural basalt rock through high-temperature melting, casting, controlled crystallization, and annealing processes. These tiles provide exceptional protection against abrasion, erosion, impact, and chemical attack in demanding industrial environments.

Due to their dense microcrystalline structure and outstanding hardness, casted basalt tiles have become one of the most effective wear protection solutions for mining operations, thermal power plants, cement factories, steel mills, ports, and bulk material handling facilities worldwide.

Casted basalt tiles are engineered wear-resistant tiles produced by melting volcanic basalt at temperatures above 1250°C and subsequently casting the molten material into molds. Through a carefully controlled crystallization process, the material develops an extremely hard and compact structure with superior abrasion resistance.

These tiles are installed on equipment surfaces exposed to abrasive materials such as coal, clinker, iron ore, limestone, slag, fly ash, silica sand, aggregates, and mineral concentrates. They effectively protect steel structures from premature wear and extend equipment service life.

Compared with ordinary steel liners, casted basalt tiles offer significantly longer operating life while reducing maintenance costs and production downtime.

Casted basalt tiles are a type of lining material that is used to protect equipment and structures from abrasion and wear caused by the flow of abrasive materials. The basalt tiles are made by casting a volcanic rock called basalt in a manner that is similar to the casting of cast iron. They are then carefully annealed to form a re-crystallized black ceramic with high levels of hardness and abrasion resistance.

These tiles have many advantages over traditional lining materials such as rubber, metal or ceramics. They have excellent wear life expectancy, are highly resistant to chemicals, and can withstand extreme temperatures. Basalt tiles are commonly used for lining chutes, bunkers, hoppers, drag chains, and sluiceways in industrial settings where there is a high risk of abrasion and wear.

The usage of Casted basalt tiles

Casted basalt tiles are commonly used in various construction and architectural applications due to their durability, strength, and aesthetic appeal. Some of the common uses of casted basalt tiles include:

  1. Flooring: Casted basalt tiles can be used for indoor and outdoor flooring due to its durability, non-slip surface, and resistance to the elements.
  2. Wall Cladding: These tiles can be used for wall cladding in bathrooms, shower areas, and other wet areas due to their ability to withstand moisture and humidity.
  3. Landscaping: Casted basalt tiles can be used in landscaping to create walkways, patios, and pool decking as they are resistant to pool chemicals and harsh weather conditions.
  4. Kitchen Countertops: Casted basalt tiles can be used for kitchen countertops as they are heat-resistant and scratch-resistant.
  5. Industrial Flooring: These tiles are widely used in industrial flooring applications as they are resistant to abrasion and wear and tear.
  6. Roofing: Casted basalt tiles can be used for roofing due to their resistance to UV rays and extreme weather conditions.
  7. Fireplaces: Casted basalt tiles can be used for fireplace surrounds and hearths due to their resistance to heat and fire.
