Y-Piece
Y-Piece - industrial steel pipe
Cast basalt lined elbows are heavy-duty wear-resistant pipe fittings designed to withstand severe abrasion, erosion and impact in industrial conveying systems.
Cast basalt lined elbows are specially engineered wear-resistant pipe fittings designed for abrasive material conveying systems. By combining a high-strength steel shell with an ultra-hard cast basalt lining, these elbows provide outstanding protection against abrasion, erosion and impact wear.
Elbows are typically the most heavily worn components in a pipeline because material flow changes direction at these points, creating concentrated impact and turbulence. Cast basalt lining significantly extends service life compared with conventional steel elbows.
These fittings are widely used in mining, power generation, cement production, steel manufacturing, dredging and bulk material handling industries.
The cast basalt lining is produced by melting selected volcanic basalt at temperatures above 1250°C and crystallizing it under controlled conditions. The resulting material exhibits excellent hardness and wear resistance.
The smooth internal surface also reduces friction and minimizes material accumulation, improving conveying efficiency and reducing maintenance requirements.
Basalt lined elbows are available in various angles, diameters and connection types to suit different pipeline configurations.
In abrasive conveying systems, elbows often experience wear rates several times higher than straight pipe sections. Continuous particle impact at directional changes rapidly erodes ordinary steel fittings, resulting in frequent replacements and costly downtime.
Cast basalt lined elbows provide a highly durable wear-resistant solution that greatly extends service life while reducing operating costs.
