What Is Cast Pipe Clamp

Cast pipe clamp is an integrated saddle-type cast fastener specially matched with tubes erosion shields for thermal power boiler heat exchange tubes. It adopts one-piece casting forming, with smooth inner arc closely fitting the outer wall of boiler tubes, used to lock and fix erosion shields on tube surfaces to prevent displacement under high-temperature flue gas scouring and vibration.

Both sides of the clamp are designed with long oval adjustable mounting slots, which allow horizontal fine-tuning during on-site boiler maintenance, effectively solving the installation deviation problem caused by tube layout tolerance. The body is thickened cast, with excellent toughness and vibration resistance, and will not crack or deform under long-term high-temperature working conditions of the boiler furnace.

As a complete supporting accessory of boiler tube erosion shields, it forms a set of tube anti-abrasion protection system together with erosion shield and snap ring, widely used in CFB boilers, waste heat boilers and conventional power plant economizer, superheater and reheater tubes.

1. Cover the boiler tube surface with tubes erosion shield first, align the position of the protective cover.

2. Buckle the cast pipe clamp on the outside of the erosion shield, make the inner arc fully fit the shield surface.

3. Adjust horizontal position through long oval slots according to tube bundle layout, then lock high temperature bolts and washers.

4. During boiler overhaul, check clamp deformation and bolt looseness regularly, replace cracked cast clamps in time.

5. Avoid heavy hammer knocking the cast clamp during installation to prevent hidden cracks inside casting body.
