What is Cast Basalt Plate?

Cast basalt plate is a type of wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant lining material made from cast basalt rocks. It is produced by melting basalt rock at high temperatures and then casting it into a mold to form a solid plate. Cast basalt plate has excellent physical and chemical properties, including high hardness, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and high-temperature resistance. It is used in various industrial applications where equipment and surfaces need protection against wear, impact, and corrosion. Cast basalt plates are widely used in materials handling, mining, power generation, chemical processing, and other heavy industries.

Our basalt plate basalt pipe valves are mainly used in wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant projects in industrial departments such as metallurgy, coal, electric power, chemical industry, building materials and so on. So what are the main raw materials used to make the cast basalt slab?

The main raw material used for cast basalt plate is crushed basalt rock. This rock is melted at high temperatures and cast into various shapes and sizes, including plates. Other materials used in the process may include binders, additives, and reinforcing fibers to enhance the strength and durability of the final product.

Cast basalt slab is the main product of cast basalt products, which has good wear and corrosion resistance. Its wear resistance is 10 times that of manganese steel, 30 times that of ordinary steel, and its ph resistance is more than 10 times that of acid resistant ceramic tiles, granite and other materials. The cast basalt slab product has been widely used in material (coal, coke, ore, etc.) silos, chutes, corrosion-resistant ground walls and relevant corrosion-resistant and corrosion-resistant equipment linings in industrial departments, and has achieved good economic and social benefits. In particular, cast basalt is lined in cyclone, coal separation box, coal bunker, chute, coal hopper, ash hopper and other equipment, which greatly prolongs the service life and maintenance cycle of the equipment. Because the cast basalt slab is thinner than the ordinary cast basalt slab, it is convenient for construction and installation, and greatly reduces the bearing weight of the equipment.

The cast basalt selected for the cast basalt slab is a new silicate crystalline material, which is one of the great achievements in the field of glass technology. It takes blast furnace slag, diabase and basalt as the main raw materials, adds silica sand and an appropriate amount of nucleating agent, and is made of a germplasm material through melting, molding and crystallization. Cast basalt not only has the characteristics of wear resistance and corrosion resistance, but also has the characteristics of high compression resistance, bending resistance, impact resistance, temperature difference resistance and so on. The thickness of cast basalt slab can be up to 10 mm, with smooth appearance and uniform thickness.
